• $30,000 • $35,000 a yearJob Summary Under minimal supervision this position is responsible for the coordination of a function(s) for a program. Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgement to interpret policy and procedures and to answer complex questions. Requires thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures in order to perform complex programmatic support duties, assists the supervisor on non-routine administrative duties, and may supervise the work of other employees. Provides administrative support to the day to day activities and operations of the FIU Education Programs. Assists the Director with the coordination of FIU Education Program initiatives. Recommends, interprets, and analyzes information regarding administrative processes and procedures. Prepares presentation materials for use by others, editing content, and adding appropriate graphic and design elements. Plans and arranges special events and related activities. Conducts outreach and student recruitment activities through in person events and social and multimedia outlets. Networks to build campus relationships to expedite work and projects. Serves as primary contact and/or resource to outside parties, such as vendors, government agencies, and top level administrators. Provides seminars/trainings to both students, staff and members of the community. Initiates and coordinates all personnel transactions for a program. Works closely with the Director in providing trainings/seminars to students, internal units and external partners as approved by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of office or related experience coordinating functions of an office or department.
